We would love to welcome everyone to 2013 and hope you all had a pleasant holiday season. Now that we’re all back in the office, what better way to start the new year than with a brand new feature. The developers here at ESL Explorer have released a compact badge which can easily be integrated into any English school’s website.

We’ve created a new website badge for an easier, faster way to get schools more reviews on ESL Explorer, putting them in front of our rapidly growing community of students.
These badges were designed to benefit both schools and students in two ways:
- First we wanted a convenient way for schools to allow their students to leave reviews about their past experiences at the school. We know these reviews are extremely helpful to future students, answering questions about what makes a school unique, and why they should study English there.
- Secondly these badges provide an instant summary of the schools overall rating acting as unbiased, third party validation of the quality of the school and their ability to meet or exceed the expectations of students.
We are really quite happy how the badges turned out. Currently we have six different variations of the badge available, allowing schools to pick the badge that looks the best on their website. Schools already listed on the site can easily pickup their badge on the School Review Badge page. For the schools not already available on the site we encourage you to get in contact with us about getting your school listed.
This is just a taste of things to come, we have many more great improvements and exciting features planned to be rolled out over the coming year.

This is a great way to determine which schools are performing best. The students will be rating the school so that there will be no biases. These same students have experiences in these schools so they know best what rating to give so that future students will be able to choose which school they would love to be enrolled in.
You are right on the mark with your comment Paula. We do our best to reach out and gather as many reviews as we can from previous students, ensuring a large sample size of reviews for students to conduct their research with.
We also ensure that the reviews that do come in are genuine, and don’t attempt to misrepresent the school, as this reduces the credibility of other legitimate student reviews. Thankfully this has just be a select number of cases.
