Toronto (/təˈrɒntoʊ/, colloquially /ˈtrɒnoʊ/) is the provincial capital of Ontario and the largest city in Canada. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. A relatively modern city, Toronto's history dates back to the late-18th century, when its land was first purchased by the British monarchy from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The settlement was later established as the Town of York and proclaimed as the new capital of Upper Canada by its lieutenant-governor, John Graves Simcoe. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed to its present name. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812 and damaged in two great fires in 1849 and in 1904. Since its incorporation, Toronto has repeatedly expanded its borders through amalgamation with surrounding municipalities, most recently in 1998.

With you classmate you can go out with them and know the city...you can go to a bar or pub...wherever you want because the city is very safe...the most important is to have a great relationship with your classmate and to try to know the city....

Me encantó Toronto.

Toronto is a good city. Very clean. Many cultures. Their transit system is not as good. And expensive because of taxes. But there a lot of good places for students to live and you can find your own food in Toronto. I like that Toronto is sooooo big. It is amazing city!!

Toronto is a great city to live. I thought that will be boring, but I completely changed my mind. I hope I can come back here to visit the city with my friends and family.

I love Toronto! I want to go back. New York is nice but soooo big. Vancouver I recommend to visit but it is always raining! And some people are a little strange. Montreal was really beautiful. I loved it. But they only speak French so it is difficult. So Toronto is the best city to study English.

Toronto is a good city to live. I enjoy Toronto. I can recommend this city. I have travelled to many cities. Toronto is a big city and has lots to do. The best thing is that you are not a foreigner there. No one treats me like a tourist. I feel Canadian. The worst point of Toronto is the TTC. The service people are terrible. Unfriendly. And don't help people. I hope they can change this transportation system. It is not on time and the buses are usually late. But Toronto is a good place to live. I feel safe and there is a lot of things happening.

Toronto is an amazing city, it has some issues with the public transportation but those are some minor details, the people is generally polite and nice, but like in many places there is some racism and some people was very unpolite but not all the people is like that.
My friends were mainly from Tamwood, they are amazing people and they help you if you need something.
