What is the ESL Explorer internship program for Students?

Our unique internship brings together talented students, teachers and education professional across the world to work together to launch a new educational website. Successful candidates will gain experience working in English and be exposed to many different business areas involved in launching a new web product, including branding, social media marketing, business communication, customer relations and sales.

Successful candidates will work in a progressive and energetic environment, join an international team, and obtain critical feedback and career mentoring from experienced executives.

We issue certifications for all those who successfully complete our program.

Internship Description

  • Expand, manage, and evaluate various social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and their efficacy.
  • Identify and develop communication channels to priority market segments.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, by tabulating results from evaluation forms and summarizing key findings
  • Participate in the development of new marketing materials and testing new web products
  • Customer Management
  • Contribute to the overall corporate marketing strategy

Program Structure

  • The internship program consists of 8, 1-week, modules. These are Social Media, Marketing I, II, and III, Customer Relations, and Sales I and II.
  • Each module is meant to expose you to important business area. You will receive training at the beginning of each module and then will be assigned tasks that put what you've learned into practice.
  • In some cases, you will need to solve new problems, so sharing ideas and collaboration will be extremely important.
  • Successful candidates will be working in one of two teams of six. A friendly competition will exist between the teams.

Qualifications

  • Completed, or completing coursework towards a bachelor's degree at an accredited university
  • Experience studying English abroad, or plans to study English abroad in the next year.
  • Proficiency in English
  • A self-starter, hard worker, professional, reliable and dependable, resourceful, and works well in a team and independently.
  • Internet research skills and familiarity with social media.

Hours

15 hours/week (for 8 weeks)

Locations

Seoul, South Korea
Vancouver, Canada

In certain cases it is possible to conduct the internship remotely.

Start Date

We evaluate applications on a rolling basis, but early applicants will compete for a larger number of available positions.
